چکیده

We present an analysis of the decayD0→K+π− based on FOCUS data. From a sample of 234 signal events, we find a branching ratio of Γ(D →Kπ) Γ(D0→K−π+) = (0.429 − 0.061 ± 0.027)% under the assumptions of no mixing and no CP violation. Allowing for CP violation, we find a branching ratio of (0.429 ± 0.063 ± 0.028)% and a CP asymmetry of 0.18± 0.14± 0.04. The branching ratio for the case of mixing with no CP violation is (0.381 0.167 − 0.163 ± 0.092)%. We also present limits on charm mixing.

Recent Charm Results from Cleo

We describe two recent results using data collected with the CLEO detector at the CESR e + e − collider at energies near the Υ(4S). The first is a Dalitz plot analysis of the decay D 0 → K 0 S π + π −. We observe a rich structure including the decay D 0 → K * + π − which may be produced by D 0 − D 0 mixing or doubly Cabibbo-suppressed decays. We also search for D 0 − D 0 mixing in the decay D 0...

Results and Perspectives in Particle Physics,

Recent measurements in the charm sector at BABAR are reviewed. The scope of the presentation includes the observation of two new narrow mesons in the D + s π 0 and D + s π 0 γ final states as well as the measurement of D 0-D 0 mixing parameters by means of two methods: using the doubly-Cabibbo-suppressed D 0 decay to K + π − and using the ratios of lifetimes extracted from samples of D 0 mesons...

Of D - Meson Dalitz Plot Analyses

The formalism of Dalitz-Plot analysis is reviewed in the preceding note. Recent studies of multi-body decays of charm mesons probe a variety of physics including γ/φ 3 , D 0 –D 0 mixing, searches for CP violation, doubly Cabibbo-suppressed decays, and properties of S-wave ππ, Kπ, and KK resonances. In the following, we discuss: (1) D 0 → K 0 S π + π − ; (2) doubly Cabibbo-suppressed decays; and...

New FOCUS results on charm mixing and CP violation

We present a summary of recent results on CP violation and mixing in the charm quark sector based on a highstatistics sample collected by photoproduction experiment FOCUS (E831 at Fermilab). We have measured the difference in lifetimes for the D decays: D → K−π+ and D → K−K+. This translates into a measurement of the yCP mixing parameter in the D D̄ system, under the assumptions that K−K+ is an ...
